What is a trade? |
|
A trade is required if you want to change the owner of a domain name. This is the name of the organisation or company (or the name of the owner if no organisation or company name has been given). For example, if you want to buy/sell a domain name. These modifications will be charged. Telenet cannot help you to sell your domain name. However, if you are the owner of the domain name and you have closed an agreement with a purchaser, then you can ask Telenet to modify the owner of the domain name by starting up a trade procedure. We always need a confirmation from the licensee. This can be done by clicking on a link sent by the registry or sending us a fax signed by the licensee (when the name of an organisation or company is mentioned in the WHOIS database, that fax must be printed on paper with logo of that organisation/company). |
